It is a good school but campus life would be more colorful and people should communicate more.

“diverse and engaged university”
Hanne V
Belgium, Graduate

Overall
VUB Campus Etterbeek is a small but well-rounded campus with the most important facilities such as a library, cafetaria and career center. The relationship between professors, assistants and students is personal, rather than being a number. The courses are overall well-thought, with some professors more engaged than others. VUB is a good choice for students who are up for an educational challenge in a more laid back atmosphere.

“International student body, scarse learning experience”

Overall
The Business Management Bachelor attracts international students, which is great. They are all dedicated (in contrast to many local students) and some facilities are great, so is the housing. However, the teachers are subpar, partially really hard to understand English, very dated teaching approach. We learn amongst ourselves, recorded lecturers, tutors. The exam period is during a couple of weeks after the winter holidays and very badly organised. We were confused and intimidated by the professors beforehand, during the exams they did not manage to deal with the number of students, it was loud and confusing, hard to focus. Passing grade in some subjects was 15%. All together, really nice to have such international and dedicated students around you, but we are all very frustrated with the program.

Careers
Internships are offered during the third year, however the program is rather theoretical, no practical perspectives or considerations.
