Living in the campus integrated myself within a fine multicultural environment, facilitating adaptation to the local culture and interpersonal contacts. I have achieved a lot of friendships this way.

The summer university program was aimed at international students, which created a great multicultural environment. Professors teaching the courses were international as well, respectively from Australia and Spain, which provided a good insight on international academic standards.

The food was a little more expensive than at home. As i was in Austria, I liked to ring home now and again and so I of course spent more on phone calls than normal.

The buddy network was very useful and cool--it really contributed to me having a good time in Vienna. Don't spend all your time on school work, you can do that anywhere...enjoy the culture and entertainment unique to your study abroad locale.

the accomodation was ok, but they had few single rooms so you had to apply for one really early. otherwise I had no complanies about the accomodation.

no problems outside school: english was spoken between exchange students; german with the others. sometimes I had problems in class: the austrian teacher was speaking german very fast, and I was the only exchange students in class (no respect!!)

Austria is a particular country to learn german because of the different dialects in the country. But it's also interesting because we are forced to stay concentrated all the time and after a periode we could understand pretty well the people.
