Concerning the night life, I enjoyed the SOS (but there are many other places I didn't go). Otherwise the West Lake is a must seen, it is well known all around China.

Wahaha. The disco in Hangzhou. the name is something like "la bar", but you get there by saying to the taxi driver "wahaha". Also check reggae, close to campus.
