I wish I had known...

what I wish I had known before going is that I will be considered as undergraduate student, because other friends of mine who where doing their exchange program in the USA were considered as graduate students. This could have changed my destination choice if I had known this before!

I should have learnt French perfectly. And I should have visited more lakes in summer. And I should have been concerned about my project at university.

Go and try to learn French before. It is not very difficult to have relations with foreign students and you will have colleagues from different cultures which is really good to remove old prejudices

Final comments

Montreal is a great city. It is very multi-ethcnical and there is a rich bar/cafe/night life. Equally many people speak french as english. If you're going there you're in for a wonderful experience!

Overall

Les cours sont très organisé au début. Les professeurs s'assurent que les notions ont été bien comprises au début pour ensuite nous laisser chercher l'information nous mêmes et décider ce qui est mieux. Cela se voit surtout en cours de projet et de conception.
