Unlike most foreign students at this school I already spoke French fluently. Therefore there wasn't much of a shock in that sense. However, I learned about the differences between French Canadian and the European equivalent. Also, with the help of my Italian friends at school as well as a few trips to Italy I was able to better my italian.

I had already lived 2 years in France, so I had no language problems. On a general basis, I think you get a long way trying to express yourself and communicate in French with the French, they become much more friendly and appreciate yoour efforts. Truly the way to go if you aim at learning French, books and classes aren't enough.

It was difficult in the beginning, but I learnt semething new every day, and I ejoyed it! It's a wonderful feeling when you finaly don't have to translate sentenses all the time beacause you think french!!

The firs time i came to france was for one year only to learn the lenguage, then i came back to study in at the university, so thats why I am not having problems with the lenguage.

When I was there the university did not provide any language instructions. However, it was not necessary on my behalf since I knew French very well even before going to France.

Sometimes professors tended to explain something in French and it was a bit annoying as I didn't speak it that well. But in general it was Ok.
