Unfortunately, we had no possibility to learn Dutch at school, but many of us, who participate this program, decided to learn Dutch. Regarded I participate a double- degree program at my home university in co-operation with Hogeschool Brabant, at the end of my studies (in 2006), I will receive two diplomas, one from Külkereskedelmi Főiskola, Budapest, and the other from Hogeschool Brabant, Breda. Because of this way of education, in my home university in Budapest, we learn almost every subjects (80% at least) in English language, that is why I had no problems with the language of instruction (English) at my host university.

Netherlands is a country where almost everybody speaks english, so there was no problem communitcating to people. I answered to the aboth question negatively, because the program offered us the host country, we could not choose, but when I heard about it, I was eager to learn at least the basics.

I spoke English fluently before I went to Holland but studying in English was something different too. It helped me improve my language skills because I had to write a 5-page report weekly. Besides I spoke in English with my fellow students so I learned some slang as well.

The language experience was nice, because it provided me a deeper knowledge, specially a higher speaking fluency. I have no problems of comunication during the experience and despite the English is not the lenguage in Netherlands almost all the people speak it fluency.

Since it was an Eglish-speaking program, we were not obliged to speak Dutch. Besides, Dutch people speak English. However, to get acquainted with the everyday life, we had 2 hours of Dutch a week. Don't expect to be bilingual in Dutch at the end of your experience!

All classes and examinationas were held in English. Apart from that I had to write a graduation assignment in English as well. I tried to learn Dutch and at the end was able to communicate in the day to day situations.
