An exciting 3 years on and off campus

The courses are comprehensive and practical. You're given the opportunity to engage fully with the professors and put your knowledge to the test when working on a group project.
Most teachers are Thai but still their English communication is excellent. Articulate enough to get a point across and confident in answering difficult questions.
Despite being majority Thai with few full program foreigners, quite a lot of international students come to study temporarily and so it's a great chance to make friends from around the world.
The Campus is a large area and very stunning in terms of it's aesthetic. At the entrance, The first sight you'll see will be of the famous "Diamond building". What's great is that the inside is just as good as it's outside appearance.
Students can have an amazing experience not just inside, but out too. Thailand is a country rich in culture and so students can have the opportunity to immerse themselves in it by travelling during days off.
One fantastic bonus for international students is  that in Bangkok, you can actually still communicate in English. From the buying a snack from the local street vendor to ordering food in a restaurant mall, in many cases, they'll be able to understand you!

The Campus area is beautiful and large but it's still easy to navigate your way around the place. Maps and Shuttle buses are really helpful.
En contra
Despite being an International School, there a lot of students who can't interact well with foreigners because of their poor ability in communicating with the English language.

Si lo hubiera sabido...
Thammasat University (BMIR) is just a really bad department of a "prestigious" university. You may think you're not there to study anyway, but you'll be surprised how shitty admin, vapid students and having egomaniacs as professors can impact your experience. People will make you or break you. Thai students are both vapid and prideful. The quality of your exchange will be all about other exchange students and that's pure luck.

Universities in Thailand are more about the name on your resume than you actually learning. Universities in Thailand are just plain bad. Avoid Thammasat and Chula because they are full of egomaniacs, snotty students and shitty admin who all have this holier-than-thou attitude. Snobs with no substance don't make a positive experience. You can't walk on eggshells because shitty admin or egomaniacs as professors

Avoid Thailand and do your exchange in China or Hong-Kong if you can. If you have to, go to Bangkok University if much more professional and located near Ekkamai BTS (skytrain station) which is central Bangkok. If you have to do Thailand and Bangkok, pick Bangkok University instead. People are actually more professional there, more exchange students, and administration is much more competent.

Recomendaciones de cursos
Dr.Chanintira na Thalang (proud to show you both her Thai and British passport on first day of classes) may hold you down. She seems like she's too good for teaching and thinks of herself as British. Professors often bring their private lives into classrooms, yell and criticize Thai students (you will be affected, too), and talk about back-stabbing the other person WHILE in class. Most of Thai professors are just plain bad.

Administration is really really bad and I can't overstate how this affects your experience if you need support or things done in a professional way. I used to think it doesn't matter that much. Find university that has better administration that Thammasat BMIR. People who work there don't represent average Thai person. Very prideful which is funny considering most of them are there by connection and have no skills for the job.
