Simply because there were so so many things to do, and we had to take advantage of all those opportunities before going back home. Obviously, long distance calls cost money.

I wish more stress would have been placed on language requirements in the classroom. It was also difficult to have personal instructor time when having difficulities. Overall though, it was a good introduction to the language.

Food and cost of living is much cheaper! Travel is also much cheaper, but I just did it more often. Phone was more because I called the states a lot and in America I only call w/in the country.
