I only can recommend to live on campus, as it's awesome to have that "campus college life" and also because students living off-campus do not seem to be as active and as involved in the free-time programmes as students living on-campus

Traveling from Boston is easy, you can reach New York City by bus in around 4 hours and you can get good deals on domestic flights if you book in advance; you should really take advantage of this opportunity while you're there.
It's the definitely the easiest and I think mostly the cheapest way to go.

Pretty good. Totally depends on what dorm you are asigned to. If you have the choice ask for Falcone - great apartments with a kitchen and great, central location on campus.
