Overall
Bogazici University, ranked among the top 3 universities in the country, give their students lots of chances to improve themselves in various different fields by taking elective courses from science to art with no restriction. As an economics student, I took graphic novel-comics, art&architecture of historical capital, swimming courses which have no relation to my main subject. Bogazici gives you an special opportunity to have social life surrounding by open minded and unbiased people. You can attend extra curricular activities without sacrificing your GPA.

Turkey, Undergraduate
Economics, 2019
Overall
If you are a student wondering about where to go for an Erasmus program, you should definitely give a chance to Turkey, especially to Boğaziçi University. It is the most prestigious school in Turkey with a great campus environment in İstanbul, Bosphorus! You can take courses whichever you want and beside that Boğaziçi is proud of the extra curricular activities it has. There is a wide range of club activities and events during semesters.

First and Only Liberal Arts College in Turkey
Yasemin Ç
Turkey, Undergraduate
Political Science, 2022
Overall
It is a liberal arts college that believes in the personal development of the students. It is an interdisciplinary where you can take art classes as a psychology major or physics classes as a sociology major. In Boğaziçi both students and the professors believe in the speech of freedoom which is hugely debated and restricted in Turkey. Therefore creating a safe space for people from all backgrounds is primary goal of this university.

Pros
free speech, green campus, safe space, friendly cats
Cons
too many students, small campus, sometimes egocentric professors

Course recommendations
Talk to as many students as possible about the Professors. Tell them what you want and expect from a good class, don't just ask for "good" and "bad" classes. During the first two weeks, attend as many clases from dusk till dawn to personally evaluate the stuff. As anywhere, the teachers' performance varies greatly.

Personal comments
Teaching takes mostly the form of front-style lecturing. Participation of the students in the undergrade-part is not as high as at my home university. But as always, it student class participation greatly depended on the lecturer.
