The accommodation in my home country I own it! so I just have to pay the regular taxes. The telephone I spend less because I didnt have the need to make a lot of phone calls, just my family and the local calls where very cheap o free in certain areas.
Where I spend more many was in travel because I wanted to visit new cities and to learn more about my host country.And you dont have the opportunity and time to visit another country everyday. Also there was good promotions for travelling so I took advantage of that.

get a bank account with a bank (debit) card asap. it's enough, better than a foreign credit card for special (i.e. online/phone) purchases.
