Ok, at first it was difficult to speak and undestand the local language, but time to time and with some help from the lessons that i did, it became easier for me to communicate with people in German. In the laboratory i did not face any problems, as the instruction language was in English. In addition i did not have any difficulties in communication with the international students and ofcource with people who spoke English!
