My stay in Canada was one big success! I love it and want to advice any student to go abroad. It's definately worth it. The fact that you meet so many new people from all over the world is the best experience I have here. If you stay at Carleton University in Ottawa you have the opportunity to see many things outside Ottawa. Tip: Go by car. Hiring a car is not that expensive and gas is way cheaper compared to Europe. Especially, when you go with a group of four persons, hiring a car is the best solution. This country is huge, and the distances between 'highlight' are pretty big. Having a car at that time is very convenient.

If you fly in to Canada, book a flight to Montreal and buy your own bus ticket. It will save you a couple of hundred dollars.

Research, research, research well in advance, before stepping foot on the "new" territory.

An international exchange program is something that is very valuable, I think everybody should have the same opportunity as I had it was great.
