Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I am accustomed to living independently. Also, dormitories are located very far from the main university building, and it takes a lot of time to get to the university. I value my time; therefore prefer to live close to the university in a seperate apartment.

My housing is rather good I would say in terms of its location. Since it is located in the very centre of Budapest, and only 2 minutes from the university (Deak Ter), it is quite costly. It is a small studio for one person. I like it very much, although the rentpay is quite costly.

Housing
Type of housing: shared with 2 flatmates
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Because living in the city center is much more appropriate for a foreign student who wants to get in touch with a new culture, than live in campus, out of the city.

I know from some other colleagues that it offers great assistance for finding accommodation. However, I preferred to find a flat in my own in advance, rather than wait until the beginning of the academic year for finding a place to stay.

The university provided out-of-dorm students temporary accomodation until we found an apartment to rent, but it was an awful plave and we really hurried to move out of that place. They could have provided a better temporary accomodation so that students could have better searched for an appropriate apartment for themselves.

the dorm is great, but if you pick out-dorm accomodation, the University compensates for the rent expenses, which is cool

two options: dormitory far out of town, not too appealing, like a hotel. Private housing: good opportunities, fair prices and nice apartments to be found.
