Denmark is a very very very expensive country!! Everything was at least 1.5x the price in America, so it was hard getting adjusted to that. However, there is not much you can do about the cost.

Denmark is still in Kroners, so don't think Euros will be fine there. Also, coming from America, I was used to being able to use credit cards. However, that is very rarely used in Denmark and most places only accepted Debit cards, so make sure you have another type of funding if you only use credit cards.

Life is very expensive in Denmark, even if you pay attention (shopping at Netto or similar, preparing your lanch at home).

Mainly because everything is more expensive in Denmark than in my home country, in Hungary. On the other hand I tended to spend more on travelling and partying in general.

Try and read local newspapers to find special offers at markets. Visit second hand markets at saturday and police auctions for bikes.
