Looking for an hospitality internship in Istanbul
Nathan H
France, Undergraduate
Business Studies, 2023
Overall
Dear Sir or Madam,
Hello. I am Nathan Horgnies, a 20-year-old student in International Management in France (located in Lille), where I have the opportunity to study and learn about the management field.
Thanks to the opportunities that my studies offer me, I am currently looking for an internship, preferably abroad, where I could learn and work in your company as an integrated worker or manager.
Since a young age, I have been interested in the hotel industry as I was fortunate to travel often international-ly.  I am convinced that the skills required to work in this field fits perfectly with my personality, qualities, and the qualifications that I learned through my professional and personal life. I am a very dynamic, motivated and pragmatic person,  with an attention to detail and a certain ease to solve problems or to find solutions, notably thanks to my different experiences abroad during my studies. Indeed, those last visits were exclusively in Eng-lish, since I studied one entire year abroad in the United-States (Kansas City, MO), and one year in Brussels, in an English Management program. All of these experiences made me fluent in English. My native language is French, and I have notions in Spanish, German, Italian and Arabic.
Moreover, many work projects at school and as well as playing sports (since I was a D1 player in American Football in France), has helped me to become a great team member and  leader. They have also enhanced my communication skills, and taught me  how to make decisions efficiently and reasonably. Related to this man-agement development, I am the President and Director of a Non-profit organization in France, which has objec-tives to fundraise for orphans and poor children in Maghreb. All of these activities will help me to manage the responsibilities required in a hotel management internship.
After having researched different hotels in Istanbul, and studied information about your company, I fell in love with the services that you provide and the high provision that you make available to your clients. Your hotel is exactly the type of company where I would like to work and develop my skills for a career in hotel manage-ment. I am very interested in an internship with your company.  (The internship should start around the begin-ning of April, for a period of 2 months or more).  Could you please let me know if you are currently accepting applications for internships?
I have never worked before in the hotel industry. However, as I previously explained to you, I had the chance to travel a lot, and learned and observed my environment, which will enhance my ability to adapt my-self in this field in an even faster way. Furthermore, I am convinced that my personality, will, intentions, and also the dif-ferent skills and knowledge that I have learned during my life, will help me to provide the best out of me every day, and in the work required.
Finally, about Istanbul, I did lots of research about the city, the culture, and the people, and I fell in love with it. Working there became one of my biggest objectives and dreams, and learn-ing from your company during an internship would be an immense honor and opportunity for me.
If you do look for interns during this period, I would also love to send you a motivation letter, in order to ex-plain in a more precise way my motivations and objectives.
I remain at your disposal for more information about myself, but also about the internship project.

Respectfully Submitted,

HORGNIES Nathan

Yes, if I had known how fun I was going to have, I would have applied for a year in Nice instead of 4 months.

I was home strech in my studies, so it didn't make a diffrence what courses i chose, but if one really wants to have a high standard on the courses and work hard, I would recommend some other school. But if one wants to have the best time ever, choose Nice EDHEC.You will meet new friends and have so much fun.

Learned the language better before I left. My social life in France could have improved dramatically. I held my own, though.

I can honestly say that my 5 months in Europe were the best times of my life (so far). Lille, the largest student city in France, is an unbelievable city. There are students from all parts of the world there. Everybody is kind of in the same boat -- away from home, looking to meet new people. The social scene is absolutely amazing. We all worked hard, but played hard, too. And the proximity to other parts of Europe (1 hr from Paris, hi speed connections to Amsterdam, Brussels, London, etc.) is key to students wishing to travel. In the last year, not a day has passed without something that reminds me of my time in Lille. Simply an amazing experience, and one that I will NEVER forget.

EDHEC BS is known in France and in Europe to be a top tiers school when it comes to education (top 4 best ranked School in France in 2019 and 2020, top 15 in Europe).

Professor are excellent, all the courses are thought in English and the school welcomes a very important part of international students  which makes it an international tier one school (top 3rd master in finance worldwide; top 20 master in business management worldwide).

There are 5 campuses but I mainly know the Paris' and Lille's. Both of them are brand new and very nice.
