I spent alot of time at Waynes and Thors which are international bars which have live bands on every night, i also spent alot of time in french bars such as zoom, la suite, les trois diabalos, ghost which are located in the old town (where most of the bars, clubs and restaurants are). Nice is very expensive to go out but its so cosmopolitan and vibrant so everone should find something that they will enjoy as there is endless choice of where to go. With regards to clubs i went to the Dizzy club which is down by the port, quite funky and plays good music- R n B, house and hip hop.In addition there is Saramanga which is on the Promenade des Anglais which again plays cool music and is free for girls to get into. there is others aswell such as Escalier and Checkpoint but these in my opinion were not as good.

Personal recommendation
Feels like you're back at school..lecturers are very strict, students are extremely immature. eg. people answer the teachers back, get sent out of class for talking, etc!!

In France every student, even not French, receives government aid for the rent (Caisse d'allocations familiales - CAF), which helps quite a lot

Nice doesn't offer much night-life. However, Cannes, Monaco and St. Tropez are pretty close! These places offer some amazing clubs and bars; try le Baoli in Cannes, Karement in Monaco or le VIP Room in ST. Tropez. Quite expensive though, but good fun.

nice is very expensive to live, eat and socialise as it is the french riviera. However it is not as bad as everyone seems to think it is but even the basics of fruit and vegetables prove more costly than at home.

Once I got used to sit at bars (at home we dance more when we go partying)I started to really enjoy the live music in bars like Blue Whales or Oxford and the Giraffes (2,5 litres of beer to drink in team)
