Housing is expensive, telephone is because you have to get a prepaid card and call prices are just appaling. Food is cheap at the grocery store, didn't go out to eat one single time. YES, the books I had to buy for school...320 € for books that are too heavy to carry back home...There goes 80 percent of my Erasmus grant!! I was also surprised that I had to go to an internet café any time I wanted to use the internet or print...The school's computer facilities are a joke.

i am from asia. if i cook food at home i surprisingly recognze that food is much cheaper than food at shop. Notice that buy ingredients from Marche or asian/ur regional shops. moreover, things are relatively cheap in some shop like ED, LDL, Monoprix, Franprix etc.
