Housing is expensive in Paris, much more than in Decatur. Travel is cheaper in the US (especially flights).

Why?
Because almost all the exchange students live there... that's where the party goes and you get to know people.

Very expensive (paid 650 USD for a flat I shared with someone else), Dorm is inside a 18-floor tower that is already 25 years old. Rooms are furnished with bed, cupboard, desk, chairs, kitchen etc. but there is absolutely nothing like dishes or cuttlery or a TV...
