I had no problems with communiation - everybody spoke either German or English very well. I was fluent in German also before I went there, so I wanted to learn 'Wirtshcaftsdeutsch' (Business German) and I have learnt a lot about the Austrian slang too. I understand that a bit now, but still much to learn;-)

The night life is not very intensive but Eisenstadt is a small town so do not await too much. We partied a lot in the "Partyraum" in the cellar of the dormitory. Mendez and Cebu are nice places too. The best pizzeria is near the castle - Pizzaboy. Do not miss Fasching-Dienstag, Stadtfest and Sommerfest, if you go there in the spring semester.
