try to really enjoy sao paulo even though seems an unfriendly city as well as travel to the north east when having time

English was not a problem at the university, because students as well as professors were able to speak english. Outside of the university it was very hard to find somebody speaking english. You should basic portugese before you go to Brazil, because otherwise it will take to much time to really enjoy this country!

Better information for exchange students at the beginning! Exchange student should have access to the intranet BEFORE they register so that they can have the syllabus that are IN the INTRANET?!

price level is by far lower in brazil than in austria. still i used all my budget. in austria i do not go out that much as in brazil, therefor the increase. Housing is extremely cheap in comparison.

The very helpful international offices provides a list with many oppertunities. Everybody can find something suitabel within 3 days. The university is to small to offer accomodations.
