it was adequate for a university-owned facility..the rooms were small and bathrooms not so great, but it was a safe place and easily accessible to both the city at large and school.

that the academic life is so conservative in britain - it is a log time since the empire ruled the world - and i would have arranged with better accomodation in order to improve living conditions

glaswegian and scottish (and british even) accents can be very thick and with phrases and terms unknown to the states. lectures by scottish professors was sometimes hard to follow and some social situations involved a lot of confused nodding.

how different architectural education at the school was conducted compared to my home university, it was completely different and i never quite adjusted and wasn't able to get as much out of studying there as a result.

the exchange rate, nightlife in the states is limited for those under 21, but in scotland i was able to go out more. i travelled more often simply due to the opportunity.
