Almost everybody speaks English so it was quite easy to get by. I was pleased to learn Dutch and it was also a great opportunity to learn or improve other languages with the other international students.

In The Netherlands, it is very easy to get by with English. However, the locals really appreciate it when you make the effort to speak their language. Dutch is also very interesting to learn.
