to phone home don't call from your belgian mobile. there are lots of phone houses (usually owned by turkish people) where you can phone to other countries for about 0,10€ (Europe).

Prices are higher in Brussels than in Vienna. Nightlife was cheaper because we all knew that we have not enough money to spend. Travel costs were higher because the opportunity was there.
