PLACES: Suomenlinna - island with a great fortress - very romantic and ambient - very good brewery with very tasty own beer EVENTS: Vappu - 30 April and 1 May parties - unforgettable and amazing how the city and people change during this time.

Accomodation is ok, cleaning and laundry facilities are not good. Do not choose the single appartments near school, they are overpriced and gloomy.

I was really surprised with the fact that the main exams often consisted in learning books by heart, which I thought a bit useless at this stage of our studies, particularly for business studies

- "Zetor": restaurant (reinder meat and salmon) + dancing bar: worth to see it at least once, typically Finnish atmosphere and fun garanteed! - More classic: "Sokos 10th Floor" and "Torni" to have a drink with a wonderful view on the city. - Trendiest night club: "Kerma" - Best Sandwiches of the city: Cafe Esplanaadi. - Place to be on the 1st of May: Kaivopuisto parc to take part in the huge picnic hold there every year to celebrate the end of the winter.

Type of housing: Studio apartment in student housing
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Same place!
Why?
New building and furniture, great central location close to school and the Helsinki city centre. Each room has free broadband Internet connection, there is a launderette on every floor and 3 saunas on the top floor (some with a terrace).

Choice of central studio apartments for €464 per month and flat shares (Ida/Puistola/Pasila) out of the city centre for €150/€215/€250. If you don't want to pay for the studio apartment, I would choose the flat share Ida.
