Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Because it was a great experience to live on campus but if I'm about to go back I'd like to try new experiences.

Residential facilities on campus are well equiped and they are located so close to university facilities. Good rooms woth private bathroom, shared kitchen and laundry premises. Nice ambient. The only dissapointing issue could be frequent fire alarms during the night, and that it's really hard to get a room here.

I stayed on campus for 2 months at the beginning of my first year and it was horrible. Full of drunken 17 year olds running around making noise all night.

I was living in a flat inside of the campus. Great! it is the cheaper option, and if you manage to find good flatmates it is definitely the best option.

Sharing a house allows one to meet a great deal more natives than staying on campus where exchange students tend to hang out together.

The university campus is about 6 miles from the centre of Edinburgh, so living on campus one misses out on a lot of the action.
