My first month in Belgium actually witnessed a number of episodes ranging from language misinterpretation to difficulty in adjusting to the climatic factors. I realised the importance of former in order to combat the later (climatic factors) should I want to succeed in my goal in Belgium. Moreover, I enjoy cooking and I quickly realised how important it is to understand some basic phrase necessary to interact during market shopping.

As I was in a Flemish University, there is any possibility to practise French. In the city it is also quite difficult to practise it, because everybody tends to talk you in English, and you are not sure if you can speak French or if they are Flemish.
