If you want to be treated like shit, this is the perfect school for you
ghost
Netherlands, Undergraduate

Overall
I am following the HBO-ICT training. The teachers are not helpful. This college is very bad. I passed a course. That course and another course of the same year were replaced after a year. That is why I had to do both courses again, including the course I passed.
I also had to redo an assignment with Slobodanka Dzebric (math teacher) 4 times. last time the feedback was that I had spelled the Manual with a capital letter instead of manual. Submitting a complaint is also pointless, because then the complaint is usually assessed by the same type of teachers. In short, I will do my best to get rid of this quickly because it makes me very unhappy.

Ik studeer aan de HvA … Ik schaam me
Jade
Netherlands, Undergraduate

Overall

Small-minded, uninteresting and uninspiring teachers
Anouk
Netherlands, Undergraduate
, 2022
Overall
Very disappointed by the French department at the HVA, its small-mindedness, uninteresting and uninspiring teachers, rigidity towards French native speakers and inability to realise that the world and the classroom are miles away from the boring and useless theories that they teach. There is a huge lack of French teachers in Dutch schools and this is no wonder: the stranglehold starts at institutions like the HVA, where even intelligent people manage to fail thanks to their appallingly rigid grading system. That's an achievement in itself. Bravo!

It is advised to travel as much as possible: Munich (October Fest), Brussels, Paris, London, Berlin, Luxembourg... Amsterdam is pretty much accessible to all countries in Europe.
