the cost of living in the netherlands is slightly higher than back home if currency exchange is taken into consideration. traveling was an equally important experience of studying abroad in in relation to the amount of traveling done and the places visited, travel expenses seem to be less. eficient transportation systems and access to many european countries and cities naturally added to this perception.
