Personal comments
even though maybe overpriced for mexico, still cheaper than europe, and for someone who is new to town it is hard to find something independently. All housing offerd by the host university is located very close to the university, which is very important for mexico city.

Always take your mexican student ID when traveling, as in a lot of tourist sights you will get free entrance. Also, during official summer and winter holidays, students get a 50% discount on buses around country.

Languages
Language of instruction: Spanish
Was learning Spanish a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my Spanish
How much did you improve your Spanish?
My level before: At ease in most situations
My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang)
Language difficulties
Administrative / Institutional
Personal comments
a lot of interaction with locals, so you learn a lot to practice and use spanish daily. the language course at school has a mixed group of different levels, so it is hard to make progress. but you get some useful insights.
