I enjoyed all of my courses. However, I wish some of them were incorporated witht he local students and more international students. The students in my classes were 90% American.

Pack Light. Having a backpack helps.
Bring travallers checks and an ATM/credit card. Eat a lot of the natve foods! Go off by yourself, but be safe.

Travel on your own at times, it allows you to meet people and learn the language to a greater extent. Don't be timid, or afraid to make mistakes while talking, always be open minded and try to immerse yourself into the culture
