Not to bring a mobile phone from home - the bills add up because you have to pay for incoming calls!

It's fantastic. As foreign students we have been treated and looked after really well. The group of students in charge of entertaining us have done a fantastic job throughout the year.

about the ECTS system: I could have got more points if I knew it was possible!

it works very well, courses are good, teachers are kind. just be informed in advance about courses, cause they are a lot! take contact with the university before leaving

Exactly what our home Uni expected of us. Oh, and how to speak dialect!!

A lot of the good courses are in English. Don't rush to register on the first day of registration. I know people who waited for about 5 hours, I went a week later and waited 5 minutes. If you need help go to your mentor or the REFI(Referat für Internationales), which is run by students. The Uni has set up Tandem-learning, where you are put into groups of native speakers of people who want to learn common languages, eg Austrians wanting to learn English with Americans wanting to learn German. It's a good way to get to know Austrians.

That you must have Marketing as your main subject in order to take part in Marketing courses.

Location is excellent in terms of campus. Linz is a nice city.
