If some courses you are interested in and they are not available in english, ask to the teachers, most of the time they try to make you pass the course through "book examination".The reading material available is really good usually and quite interesting.

It was a big student campus very close to the university and to the city center. It was clean and provived of supermarket, basket camp, saunas and so on.

Regarding to the language of my host country i was just able to learn basic phrases and not to communicate fluently. In contrary, when i went to study abroad i was already able to speak fluently the language of instruction.

Daily expenses are always more expensive than in France, and the country is under taxation for special goods (alcohol). Transportation and cinema are also expensive, but you can get a discount with the student card.

The local language, Finnish, is an extremely difficult language to learn. I participated in two beginner courses, which gave me the ability to communicate in basic phrases and to continue learning by talking to locals.
