In general the cost of living in Finland(food; clothes, etc..) is more expense than in Portugal. At home as i live in my parents place there is no extra costs in housing.

The food was expensive in Jyvaskyla than in Rome, the rent for the student apartment was cheaper, i spent more for travelling inside an outside Finland.

Because the food was imported and because finland has got one of the highest purchase power in europe, so the cost of life was high as well.
