Alojamiento
Tipo de alojamiento: En el campus
Organizado por: Universidad de intercambio
Si volviera, eligiría: Piso o apartamento
¿Por qué?
Now I would love to live in one of those old, beautiful houses of Graz... But: if I were still studying, I would choose campus apartment as it is a great way of meeting local students!!!

The service at the housing office could not have been better: all exchange students were given an accommodation by the office!!! Also the quality level of the accommodation is usually very high.

There are not really any proper night clubs with big dance floors here but there are some bars where they play loud dancy music. During the day there are loads of really nice cafes where you can sit , and outdoor tables in the summer are lovely.

Alojamiento
Tipo de alojamiento: Piso o apartamento
Organizado por: Independientemente - por elección propia
Si volviera, eligiría: Piso o apartamento
¿Por qué?
More space, intimacy, and cleanness. In addition, i already know people. This is the main reason why I chose at first to live there.

Costumbres personales de gasto
I bought my food in the cheapest store in town and hardly ever used the telephone because it was too expensive. The accomodationfee was much higher than at home and the drinks in cafes where very expensive compared to what I pay at home. Graz is a fairly big city and therefore I had to use the public transport every day. At home I don´t use it that much.

You can buy a second-hand bicycle for the time you are in Graz. They are fairly cheap and then you don´t have to use public transport. You can sell it again when you leave. Hofer is the cheapest supermarket in town but you can´t find everything there and you have to be carefull with vegetables (they might not be good anymore).Merkur is also cheap and you can find almost everything there.

I would go in an apartment where local people live, because where I lived there were only foreigners as me, and we hardly spoke German. We used to talk in English, as many of them couldn't German. That disappointed me a lot. Second I would like to live in a real house, as the student dorm where I was, was quite similar to the one I live in in Italy, and I'd like to experience something different.

Comentario personal
The place where I lived, was awful. But I visited all the other student dormitory in Graz and except for mine and an other one pretty close, the others looked clean, nice and comfortable. It's just a question of old building and the bad aspect was that NO Austrian was living in those awful places, just Erasmus and Balcanian students...
