Everybody spoke fluently English and I myself improved it to a native-speaker level (my best friend there was American).

In case you are apprehensive about Danish - everyone speaks English. Yet, even a few phrases will get you far.

Everybody speeks english fluently and good and the advantage for german students: most danisch people also speek german!

Almost everybody I met spoke excellent English. I had no problems at all in this respect.
