Personal comments
Most of the Italians didnīt speak English, so I was almost forced to learn Italian, which was a good thing of course. At first, although, it felt difficult, but with time it became easier. I think I might have even learned more Italian if I would have lived outside the campus residence. Now I just used my English skills when interacting with other international students.

Personal recommendation
Try to increase the academic level for the international courses, and please...create some new computer labs, since it was a real hazzle to find computers with office etc. Especially when you really needed it, like around exam periods.

Personal spending habits
The price level was more or less the same as back home, but since I took part in a lot more activites (travelling and so on) I spend more money than at home. We also went out to eat very often, which was quite costly.

I was also living on Campus for 6 months, it was fun because there you never feel lonly because of other erasmus students, but the price was really expensive and you never practice Italian there.

Castellanza is a really small town, so do not expect any extremely cool spots here. In Milano you can of course find them instead, but if you do not have a car it is really hard to get home during the night with public transportion. So, prepare to wait for the morning train if you go!
