My English was not excellent after having spent 3 years in France. However, getting back into it was quite painless and I am now fluent.

Actually the english is pretty neat, specially the "queen english" style, but the slang could be pretty hard to get at the beginning.

the british accent was difficult for me to understand at the beginning, but everyday use makes it easier and now I feel more comfortable with british english; even on the phone! :)
