I had a bit of trouble the first couple of days because they talked so fast. Within days i was able to pick up the ascent and i had an american friend of mine convinced i was from England.

I would suggest a eurail pass or a brit rail pass to save ome money while traveling.

Edge Hill University was an experience I will never forget. I still remeber the day we left for Edge Hill like it was yeaterday, this was the happiest day of my life. I loved every second of it and did not want to leave. The people at Edge Hill made me feel as though i was actualy English which made me feel at home. The students learn alot from you as well as you learning alot from them. The faculty and staff at this wonderful institution were very helpful and loved having american students in his or her class. If i had to do this experience again i would do it faster than a heart beats. Edge Hill University is an experience that helped me to become more independant as well as grow up as a person which is what i need to do before i graduated. This experience really opend my eyes to tons and tons of many things and i am very very very thankful to have gone to Edge Hill. I still keep in touch with many of my friends that i met in europe. Edge Hill University is a great institution that helps students grow as well as provide them the opportunity to learn both outside the classroom as well as inside. All the pubs in town in Ormskirk are the best. The place to go for students on a wednesday night is Arriba in town and then head off to finish the night at the college pub. Travel as much as often, but get to know the people in your residence hall because they can teah you so much and maybe even take you home and show where they live.

I loved the accomidations that Edge Hill provided for us. American students lived in a dorm with first years from many different countries. This living arrangements made the experience an experience all of its own and helped me to learn about other cultures as well as my own.
