It is the easiest and least expensive choice. But i was lucky, I was put in one of the newer buildings, but most exchange students are put in an older building which is quite far from the university, quite old, quite crowded and quite dirty.

The housing foundation (LOAS) has little regard for foreign students. THere is very little communication, most of the notices given are in Finnish, although the foreigh community is quite numerous. Complaints are not promptly addressed, and like i mentioned before, not all housing sites are good.

Because you can have all the facilities on your own, and that is important for an independent life.

I think it was one of the best experiences in my life. I adore travelling and knowing other countries and coltures. Furthermore Finland is totally different than Spain, and i am totally sure that i could experince a lot of things that hadn't been possible in another way.
Plus i have learned english and i have met people from all over the world, we could share our points of view, languages, cultures, ways of life, etc.

We were very warmly met by tutor, who helped us to solve all important issues. Tutor and office were helping eagerly with all our questions and difficulties. We had several welcoming events, where we were told about Lappeenranta University of Technology, student's life there, Finnish culture.

Housing at Lappeenranta is good, facilities are okay, and is conducive place for students to live not just to study but meet and socialize with others as well.
