I wish I had known...
I wished I had learned some swedish before I went there. Not that this is absolutely necessary to get around but locals appreciate it if you know a little bit about their language and culture. And you don't feel so touristy then.

Overall
Lund University has a rich student life with a lot of activities happening that you can participate in. There is always something going on in the small town. The university also put a lot of effort in research which you notice when taking classes. You'll always know what the latest research is about.

I can recommend Lunds Universitet to everybody, because everything is good arranged for International Students, the courses was very good taken care of and the University buildings are really beautiful!! it works on your imagination!

Final Comments:
Scandinavia offers you beautiful nature and wilderness! When you study in Lund you have the opportunity to see a lot of it and I can recommend it to everybody. I travelled a lot in Scandinavia and have seen beautiful things. One final tip for this, take the train to stockholm visit the city a couple of days and go from there to helsinki by boat. Not very far from Helsinki is Talinn situated and this city is worth taking a look! Travelling by boat saves you money for hostels (night boats) and is a nice experience!

Maybe I would have taken a swedish language course during the first semester. Even though everybody speeks fluent english, socially it is quite important to know it.

Why?
closer to the centre of Lund and therefore facilities are more accessible

Personal comments
The housing was of a good standard, however it was lacking certain facilties such as internet access which came as standard with the other halls of residence available in Lund. In addition the housing I was given was with all other international students which was useful in meeting people and understanding other cultures better. On the other hand more contact with native swedish people would have been beneficial in developing the language for conversational purposes. Overall the housing was spacious and of good quality.
