The best academic experience abroad that has made it possible for me to make Italy my home now.
Guisela C
Italy, Graduate
, 2020
Overall
I attended the Origini Italia program at MIB Trieste School of Management and it was by far one of the best experiences of my life. In fact, the best experience academically and abroad.

Origini is a 100% funded program for Italian descendants abroad. Every year, between 18 to 20 people from South America, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, and/or South Africa come to Italy to fulfill their dreams of growing professionally while reconnecting with their Italian roots and origins, getting to know the culture, cuisine, museums, history and much more.

In the academic field, MIB Trieste has exceeded my expectations with classes held by highly qualified teachers.
My skills and knowledge were upgraded thanks to both theoretical and practical courses such as Business Planning, Strategy & Business Modelling, Marketing Management, Digital Marketing, Financial Tools for a Business Plan, and of course, Italian lessons, thanks to which today I can perfectly communicate.

The sense of community is one of my favorite aspects of the school, as it has a very strong energy of "MIB Community" where you don't feel like "just another student", but rather feel that you really belong.

Careers
I believe networking is very strong at MIB. In my case, I had the opportunity to do a three-month internship at a Limoncello company in Rome. It was definitely an experience that allowed me to apply and develop everything I was learning in class to real life; and of course, it led me to understand and see first-hand the business reality in Italy. I still have contacts and good friendships within the company to date.

A good school, good value for money

Overall
The school is not perfect. Career service is to be improved, and also connections and reputation. Still, you will learn about yourself and about a lot of different topics. The MBA program manager puts passion into what she does, and the miscellaneous colleagues (yeah it's not a school where all are geniuses) will force you to learn how to interact with different people. Please, enroll in a master only if you really want to study a lot and dedicate time to your self-improvement. It is tough, and it is meant to be.

Personal comments
Searching for apartments in Trieste is a big head ache and the school plays no part in helping you find accomodation except for sending you a list of landlords with contact details, most of which are not updated. Another thing to be very careful about is that LANDLORDS NEVER RETURN YOUR DEPOSIT. They promise you they will and can make all kind of promises but in the end, when the course ends you are in such a hurry to leave and the landlords start acting funny, like not picking calls or saying they have to spend on doing up the apartment and other such BS, in short you are screwed and have to kiss good bye to your deposit. The School does not care a rats ass about this,as they do not play any role in the accomodation seeking process.

Not so much good treatment for non Italian, but not from the administration but the system is very bad, no respect to other cultures,  traditional, Italian students is very close mind, close to each other , A lot of racist jokes, and the level of English is super low of some students,  makes you think how they have been accepted in the first place.
After all it was only the strategy of professor Traconia and leadership Dynamics it was amazing , no mention losing massive time with a professor of political analysis latterly all over the place with football,  pizza going out wasting time with a lot of pressure because he is in the board of the school

Academic
Course recommendations
Most of the courses are taught by Italians, who have never used English as their first language, this can be very difficult for international students, especially in comprehension. In short its an Italian course taught in English. Best avoided by those who want an International exposure. Also there is hardly any value added, most of the courses are a bombarding of information and you cannot grasp anything, infact at the end of the master you do not even remember the lecturers or their courses. An utter disaster
