Personal recommendation
Make sure you realize that it is not as close to Sydney as you may think. We were told it was 5 minutes away and that's not true. WHen going out at night, plan for time to actually get into the city and back.

Final comments
I didnt regret to go to Sydney, it was the best time of my life. I met wonderful people. However it took some effort to find Australian. This university is somehow too international in this sense. But I made real good connections with people from very different countries. Go for it.
