I actually changed houses in the second semester and chose to look for accommodation independently. I found a room in a shared apartment in the city centre.

The university housing was everything I expected about it: it was spacious, clean and with every facility one could reasonably need. It was located on campus, but also next to a shopping centre and to public transport. I shared it with two American boys and a Japanese girl, and the neighbours were from all around the world, making it a trully international environment.

I actually changed houses for my second semester, and I found a room in a shared apartment in the city. Both options (uni housing and independent) worked well for me.

It was pretty much what I expected: spacious, clean and with every facility one could reasonably ask for. It wasn't particularly luxurious, but it was ok. What I liked best was my flatmates, two American blokes and a Japanese girl. The neighbours were from all around the world, so it was a trully international atmosphere.

it is the best way to grasp the local life outside of university. There are so many foreign students that if one stay on campus, one will never have any idea of the locals way of life

Closer to the University. Easier to build a network of friends.

I drove, and to buy a parking permit was a little bit expensive, however free parking was available on the surrounding streets of the campus.

Housing was perfect. Only writing a few e-mails and fill in a form and all was arranged. Even the airport pick-up was arranged.

Because it allows me to be responsible and independant, it was a great experience.
