McGill is a good university if you're self-directed. If you are, there are professors and advisers who are happy to help and point you in the proper direction.

McGill is hard hit financially. They just a $64 million dollar gift though from one alumnus. Its not Harvard, but it has a great international reputation.

Come here to meet international students. They are everywhere. Its great. The Canucks are nice too once you get to know them a bit, just don't make too much of their health care or high taxes--they don't like that. The US-Canadian dollar exchange rate makes the cost of living and tuition (which is already low) very cheap compared to studying in the states.
The classes are big here, but the professors are always happy if you visit them in their office or after class. I highly recommend McGill.
