You would not have time to take extra classes in English, there is too much team and personal work to have a specific time for that. One way to improve your English is to take part at the English Conversation Partner program set up by the office of international education of the university. You could find a partner (free of charge) whom you'll one hour (at least) a week to just speak English and eventually become friends. This program is awesome and really helped me to understand the Americam culture

The Americain students were not very open to any communication with foreigners, it has been hard to talk with them and keep in touch with local students afterwards.
