“Some departments are good.”

Just wanted to say that some departments at Payap are quite good. I made friends with a PHD student in the peace studies as well as a few information technology students and they were all very cool people. There are some golden hearted staff members as well there. The linguistics department was outstandingly helpful during MA TESOL and quite honestly if I could do the whole thing over again I'd probably have gotten a masters from linguistics instead of TESOL. Just didn't like the TESOL program because it was a bad fit- maybe different personalities or something.... If one was very patient and had five years to spend in Chiang Mai perhaps one could even succeed even with them. I like to get stuff done quick, that's all.

“MA TESOL unlimited delays”

Overall
it is not cheap because they delay students to collect continuation fees while making up stalling excuses. This is during the advising thesis phase after you've spent a year doing the coursework. In the end I had to quit, lose all my investment, and go to another program. This program sucks and many have the same experience as I, so don't fall for the bait that it's cheap.

I found something extremely dodgy with Melissa Stroud (Stroud's wife who was somehow working there even though she's not listed anywhere now?) and the way she interacted with students.

I thought blatant LYING and DECEPTION weren't okay. Are those Christian or Catholic values or just values of a rotten 'expat' in Thailand?

Whenever you get a chance to enrol in an 'Area Studies' program, do it!
