Before coming to Moscow I felt inhibited in speaking Russian, but with the time, I improved my Russian and were not afraid to talk to people. Because in the dormitary there are only foreign students, we speak English all the time. This also helps me to improve my English.

Once you speak abit of the language and at least try to speak it people open up to you. It is worth to put some effort into it to learn the basics of the language.

russian language wasn´t the language of instruction; But i learned it 20 hours a week so i was able to communicate in all situations although it wasn´t fluent;

The russian language course is very good- about 16 hours per week, so most of the students were able to speak at least a little bit russian after some time.

the countrys language differed from the spoken language at university, i learned the most at work in summer

at school everybody speaks english and you manage everything. outside you have to speak russian.
