Had a trip to the hospital which set me back a little, until insurance came through. Transport at the campus was free (cause you walked), and having money on your student card helped out, as well as a few meals. Definately if you are in an apartment, shop at the supermarket and make your own meals.

Get phone cards for international calls, they are much cheaper; Plenty of part-time jobs on campus to help you earn some extra money
