Course recommendations
Implement more modules to choose from and organise the time slots of the classes better. At home the university bunches classes together so students spend more time at the university in less trips rather than the other way around.

It was a great year, Brisbane is a wonderful city to live in but maybe not so good for spending your holidays there. There are far better places like the Whitsunday Islands, Fraser Island or Tasmania. Australians are really friendly and lovely people, open to everyone.

Brisbane, Australia is a pedestrian friendly city. There are people moving barges called, 'City Cats', that transport only pedestrians up and down the river. Both the bus and above ground train (the only kind they offer) is reliable and safe. You must make time to have (a) beer(s), preferabely the Queensland beer called 'Four X', with one, two, or many of your mates at 4p.m. at least two working days out of the week. There are many excellent Irish pubs. The disco scene is okay. Gourmet coffee is superb overall. For an evening coffee and/or sweet check out coffee shops in the area of town, West End (e.g. Crazy Cat, The Three Monkeys, etc.). On Anzac Day, get your ass out of bed at 4a.m. and head down to Anzac square in the city to watch a beautiful ceremony. Than make sure to watch the sun rise at Mt. Coo - tha. Make sure to spend at least 95% of your day outside!

There were not arranged any social activities for international students from the Business Faculty in particular. Comparing this with the way it is handled in Berlin, QUT could have helped the students more to get to know each other through bar-tours, weekend trips and other social get-togethers.

Personal spending habits
The level of expenses for Housing and Nightlife are lower than in Denmark. I spent more on travelling as I spent 5 weeks after my studies travelling on my own, which was why I from time to another joined arranged tours - which are quite costly.

If you get in trouble with your landlord you should contact the RTA, which is the organisation holding the deposits of tenants. In the case of a dispute, the RTA is the third, neutral party, that determines if/ how large a part of the deposit that should be repaid to the tenant when moving out.
